One platform, not ten

Everything a school runs on, in one place.

Standards-based gradebook

Proficiency recorded against standards on a clear scale, never averaged into a letter that hides what a student has mastered.

MTSS & intervention

Tiered supports, intervention plans, and progress monitoring, built into the same student record.

Caseloads & advisement

Counselor and support-staff caseloads, advisement, and course recommendations, scoped to the right students.

Behavior & habits of work

Track learner behaviors and work habits next to academic evidence, not in a separate app.

Portrait of a Graduate

Tag student work to your state's Portrait attributes so durable-skill growth is visible as it builds.

Metacognition & self-assessment

Self-assessment deltas surface the gap between what a student predicts and what they prove.

Parent communication & dashboard

Two-way messaging and a standards-based family view that reaches parents without another login.

Work-based learning

Placements, hours, sponsor sign-off, and the employability profile for CTE programs.

One platform

Built on the six attributes of a graduate.

The same platform serves K-12 and CTE. Standards are tagged to the Portrait attributes a state defines, so a student's growth toward each one is something you can see, support, and stand behind.

Why now

New York named the framework. Profectus is already built on it.

In June 2026, the Board of Regents and State Education Department announced a plan to move toward a competency-based diploma grounded in the Portrait of a Graduate and standards-based learning. Profectus is built on that foundation today, so districts adopting it now are aligning with the direction the state has announced, not waiting for it.

Profectus is independent software and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the New York State Education Department.

From the founder

I built this as a teacher who's actually run standards-based grading, for teachers. That's the difference.

When my school moved to standards-based grading, the system we'd been promised never showed up, leaving a year of spreadsheets and workarounds. So I built the tool no one else could deliver. New York is now committing every district to the Portrait of a Graduate and standards-based learning, and the legacy systems can't get there without starting over.
